I’m Mirto, and I’m a freelance

illustrator from Italy!

I’ve been interested in art and especially in illustration since I was a child. My personal style – which I’ve developed through the years – reflects the naïve and colorful approach I had as a child. I’ve always wanted to pursue a career as a visual artist, hence in 2017 I’ve graduated from the Santa Giulia Academy of Art with a bachelor degree in Painting and in 2020 I completed my study program at Nemo Academy in Florence obtaining a degree in entertainment design.

In the past three years I’ve been lucky enough to work with both small and larger editorial environments. In 2019, I had the honor to be featured in the anthology “Read something else”, written by Lemony Snicket and published by Harper Collins and between 2020 and 2021 I’ve collaborated with some Italian publishers, such as Attaccapanni press, Formula Magica and Città delle Nuvole. For Città delle Nuvole, I wrote and illustrated two children's book “Lucrezia e la grande città” and “La città musicale”.
